2009 Shoot-O-Rama

At the last minute we found out that there were plans to close Perkinsville Road on Saturday May 16, 2009 for most of the day for a triathelon. We decided to meet at Bob and Arlene Walker’s and then caravan to the grounds.

Everyone seemed to have a good time shooting. Tony and his son, T.J., and Bob Williams, both new club members, were at the Shoot‐O‐Rama. TJ’s gun was a little too big for him but he made every effort to shoot with the big boys. Stevi Casdorph was our only woman shooter.

We would like to extend a special “thank you” to Jim Prenovost who helped set everything up and keep the various shoots going smoothly. Although we would liked to have seen a larger turnout for the Shoot‐O‐Rama, we did receive emails from several club members saying they had other obligations, but were looking forward to next year.

On June 13, 2009, there will be a training day at Scholz Lake. Scholz Lake is south of I‐40 between Williams and Flagstaff. Elevation is a little higher and should be a great place to beat the heat. We hope you can all come out to join us. There will be another training day on July 11, 2009 at the same location. There will be a brief general membership meeting following both training sessions.
